Josh Krajcik: Continue Solo Or Reunite His Band?

Simon Cowell has said that Josh Krajcik is “the one to beat.” But, if he wins, would Josh go solo or put his old band back together?

“I would love to bring my band out, but they have mortgages and lives, and all these things have them tied in Ohio,” says Josh . “So hopefully, we can make that happen, but there’s so many things that could happen that it’s just so hard to tell right now. I’ve been with them for eight years, we’ve got great chemistry and I love those guys.”

But if it's a solo album to make, he says he'd like it to be musically somewhere between "Adele and [Eric] Clapton." “I’m going to make a soulful record,” he explains. “I want to make a record that moves people and it’s all about the right songs. I want to work with the best songwriters in the biz. I’m a songwriter myself, but I’m not rigid in the fact that oh, it has to be all my songs that I’ve written. No, I want to work with the best and get all the right songs.”

And speaking of working with the best, Josh’s dream collaborations would be playing with Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, and Prince. “Those are the dream gigs right there,” he says. “I’m looking forward to this new chapter in my life where I can truly explore my music.”

We asked him to paint the picture of success for us. At what point would he feel satisfied as an artist? “Honestly, it’s hard to not feel successful already as far as I’ve come in this competition,” he answers. “But I just want to be making great records, and have people love them, and be able to work around the world for the rest of my life. That’s success to me."

With everything that Josh has accomplished since his days of slinging burritos, we’d say that Josh is already a winner.
